Should You Buy The Jupiter Jack?
Many of you have probably seen the late night commercial for the product
, Jupiter Jack. This might be a product that some of you have been questioning whether it is worth purchasing or not. For some people, this product can be great, but for others, it might just be best investing some more money into getting a Bluetooth headset.The way Jupiter Jack works is it transmits your phone call to the radio in your car so you can hear whoever you are talking to on the radio. All you do is plug in the Jupiter Jack and then turn the radio to the correct station. This is pretty simple, and does not require much work.
However, even those it is simple to use, there are some flaws. The biggest flaw is you cannot have a private conversation if you have someone else in your car. If there is someone you need to talk to privately, this cannot be done with the Jupiter Jack as it is played through the radio so everyone in the car can hear it.
Another flaw of the Jupiter Jack is you have to turn off the music you are playing to use it. Since you have to switch to a specific radio channel, you have to turn off the CD that you have playing. While you probably do not normally listen to music while talking on the phone, but if you have a friend in the car that wants to listen to music, then there might be a problem.
However, the Jupiter Jack is still a decent product as it is cheaper than most headsets, does make it safer for driving, and you get two of them for the price of one. If you drive alone, then the Jupiter Jack might be worth getting, but if you drive with groups of people all the time, then you might want to just invest in getting a headset.
