If making earning an income through Scentsy there are a few things that you should know first.
This doesn't mean that any of these are bad things, it's just that you should know them. First I will put a few things down and then talk about them one at a time.
1. Scentsy has is an mlm, direct sales co.
2. To make a substantial income, a large volume of products must be sold.
3. Scentsy requires the money for products to be paid up front.
4. Bonus structures are all based on minimum sales volume.
5. Scentsy uses the "Party Plan" as their primary sales method.
Direct sales simply means the way to eliminate the wholesale process. They move directly from the company through you to the retail customer.
Scentsy's products are not high priced, but then McDonald's Big Mac meal isn't either. Now McDonald's makes a lot of money by moving a lot of burgers. The same will be true with Scentsy and their products. I just want to be sure you realize that making good money will require good effort.
There are a few mlm companies that do not require payment for product at the time of the order. Avon is the predominate one that comes to mind as I write this. But like most mlm companies, payment is received at the same time the order is made.
Receiving a bonus is just like it sounds. Bonuses are paid because a person is rewarded when that person meets specific sales goals.
I think it is more common to think of a bonus as just part of the way to be paid, but a person must meet the qualifications. It is healthy for the consultant and the company alike because each need goals to move forward. Anytime you can see the next reachable goal just ahead and you make the decision to get it? Something inside us helps to order our activities to reach it.
The Party Plan is the primary marketing method Scentsy products are sold. I want to give you some examples of the product costs and your commissions.
You start at 20% on the sales you make until you produce $1000 in sales then you are moved to 25%
One warmer...$30 12 wax cubes...$50 = $80 commission would be $16.
To make $500 it would take a little over 31 sales.
In order to hit $1000 then it doubles to more than 60 sales.
It doesn't really matter what business you work from home, it is going to require some planing and a lot of work.
It just so happens that Scentsy will allow you to have a presence on the internet to increase your sales volume. The only limitation I have found is auction sites like eBay but marketing online is fine with them.
In order to get the full use of an internet presence it would be to your advantageto get new potential recruits from the web. Having an online presence has rocketed many home businesses far ahead of people who limit themselves to off line strategies only.
