Tupperware is a MLM opportunity that needs very little intoduction, Unless one was living under a rock. I was surprised to find it on a list of MLM companies while researching them. So let us look at their direct sales opportunity offered by them to see if it could work for you.
Most people have heard of the company but probably do not know that a man named Earl Tupper founded it way back in 1946. The products originally offered were sold in stores but did not catch on, so in 1948 he came up with the idea to sell them at home parties and did so well by that method they were later pulled out of all stores. They have since grown to a sales force of nearly 2.1 million IBO's (independent business operators) and retail sales over 2 billion worldwide.
The company was originally called Tupperware Inc. but with the acquisition of companies like International Beauty Group have changed their name to Tupperware Brands to reflect the diversity of their product lines. "Fortune" has named them "one of Americas most admired companies". They have long been a strong supporter of the "Boys and Girls clubs of America".
The product lines are a vast array of kitchenware, household items, storage supplies, drink ware, cleaning supplies and even health and beauty supplies. They claim to be constantly researching for new items to help keep food items fresh while remaining easy to use and saving storage space.
The position offered is that of direct sales marketing or face-to-face approach they consider an independent business operator. All the products are sold at in home parties or shows so that the customer can see the product and experience how it works first hand. The IBO will recieve a duplicated website for marketing and ordering which will be much easier than the previous method of by word of mouth only.
