When Christmas is around the corner, everyone seems to be much richer and out of control

All shops start to offer Christmas sales, banners of various bright colors are everywhere to be seen, and people take on unprecedented enthusiasm in shopping around and buy one large pack after another.However, many people often spend much more than their budget at Christmas. If you belong to these people, you should really pay attention to it and consume reasonably.
First of all, when you walk into the streets and are dazzled by those delicately-wrapped Christmas gifts, you should remind yourself of what you have planned to buy as gifts for your friends and family members. You can browse for a while for a selected item, but do not spend too much time on new items, for the chances are great that you will regret having bought them immediately you walk into the door of your home.
Secondly, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Even at Christmas, companies do not come to do charity things, but to earn money. Never think that you can make a fortune at Christmas by buying things on sale. The prices of goods always go in harmony with the qualities of them. If you cannot resist the temptation to buy a large pack of gifts, such as bath sets, powder boxes or girls accessories, you may come home and find out that the number of gifts is much larger than the number of people to whom you should give Christmas gifts.
Thirdly, have an estimate about how much money you should spend on Christmas gifts. You can spend a little more than that number, but never buy things crazily that you have to live frugally for the next few months. If you have planned to buy a warm scarf for your wife, do not buy a diamond necklace just because you see the ad in the street which says every woman wants a diamond necklace. If you have planned to buy an ordinary leather handbag for yourself, do not pick an LV bag just because it is 10% cheaper than usual.
Anyhow, Christmas is an occasion on which we have fun and show affection to our loved ones, not one which burns a hole in our pocket. Do not fall into a victim of commercial ads. Be a rational consumer, and give a warm and wonderful 2010 Christmas to your family, your friends and yourself.
