Quility Irons---Callaway X-22 Review

Over the past couple of months we now have had the pleasure of testing and tinkering with a number of quality clubs---Callaway X-22. Regardless of whether a set of high performance blades or a set of super game-improvement irons, I take away a number of valuable experiences with this golf iron set.

The goal of our X-Series Irons has always been lofty: Set the performance standard for that industry. We've tried it again using the X-22 Irons, the very best X-Series Irons we've available. The perimeter weighting from the X-22s continues to be maximized as it were of inertia (MOI) that?s 10 percent greater than the earlier versions, meaning you receive more forgiveness on off-center strikes. The perfect center of gravity position continues to be preserved, generating optimal ball-flight trajectories. We?'ve also incorporated the Modified Tru-Bore design, dampening vibration for enhanced feel. The tour-inspired head shape includes a slightly thinner topline and sole having a large sweet location for improved aesthetics and forgiveness to enhance your confidence.

With Callaway's engineers claiming they have managed to increase the MOI (resistance to twisting) by 10% on the previous X iron, Callaway also refined the 360-degree undercut channel to place more weight low down in the head. The result, I discovered, is a consistently higher ball flight on those shots that have traditionally been intimidating with a tendency for a weak slice for the average player.

The Callaway X-22s have a thick topline, but overall size and shape are very much different than many of the GI clubs we have played recently. The shape is very much "Player's type" with just a thicker overall feeling. Definitely a thinner topline than we have been used to in the past. As someone that has played both types of clubs, thick lines have never bothered me.

They are great clubs with best golf price for the right handed mid-capper looking for some hybrids that he can grow with. These clubs feel great in my experience, though less than precisely what I am searching for, I can tell in which a large amount of folks, including several I have fun with will be well served with this equipment. I am fairly impressed using their overall feel, solid quality, and fair quantity of workability. I cannot to tell the truth condone any group of strong lofted clubs forsaking a Gap Wedge, nor can one personally tolerate them flaunting a Left Handed Lob Wedge Maestro as their Staff Player of preference, and not even building a Left Handed Lob Wedge with this set. Overall the set performs very well, and it is nice to see Callaway's quality control to the times of old.
