Pest Control Pet Peeves

Pest Control Pet Peeves

Not everyone wants to kill every bug that they encounter whether they are on the street

, in their own yard or in their living room. They believe the bug to be mistaken and to be in search of either a temporary home or passage to the other side of the yard. Yes, the bugs can be exploring, mostly for food and shelter, but nevertheless, most bugs are on the move and stay on the move. If a home owner is brave and patient enough to pick up the live or deceased insect in his or her home and place it out of doors or in their garbage can, then they are to be commended. But, pest control isn't a necessity because of a bug or two every other year that gets a little lost or a little cold and finds its way into your living room or kitchen one evening. Pest control is about the aggressive infestations, when bugs and small creatures nest and when they create an unsanitary and even dangerous environment for you, your children and pets when they carry germs, infectious disease and poison in their stings or bits.

That is just it; if bugs and wild animals stayed out of doors and didn't pose any threats they wouldn't be considered pests that required control in order for homes and offices to stay clean and safe throughout the year. So a few of the pet peeves that many home and office occupants deal with include the general annoyance of an invasion of space and the threat of potential harm to themselves, their structure and possessions.

First, no insects, rodents or small animals have boundaries when they invade your living or working structure. They can get into any room, any type of food even if it wasn't what they were looking for, and any crevice including closets with your shoes or toiletries in your bathroom. Second, they have no concept of proper behavior or etiquette, so they leave their droppings and corpses all over your residence or place of business. This exacerbates the sanitation aspect of their invasion. They carry diseases like salmonella and E. coli on their bodies and their waste which can contaminate any human's eating and working surfaces, especially for unsuspecting persons. Third, if they are not removed and deterred from re-entry soon, they can cause pricey damage to the building structure. Termites are well known for their epic damage to wood and other fibrous materials but ants can nest in woods, rodents chiseling away at walls and floorboards to gain entry, while other bugs and pest gradually weaken joints and crevices as they attempt to gain and re-gain entry in search of the right space for their needs.

In the end, the only way to finally be rid of one's pet peeves is to possess a daily practice that keeps these bugs and vermin at bay in combination with professional pest control to protect the structure year round from infestation.
