Nfl Tickets - Injuries Mount In Week 10 Action

The midseason of the NFL often brings injuries

, as players have had ample time to get battered and bruised from earlier games in the season. There are several tough races to get to the top of teams' respected divisions as of Week 10, but a few crucial injuries have occurred that will surely have an impact on the league. Here are some of the most monumental injuries from Week 10 playtime.

Jordan Gross, Left Tackle, Carolina Panthers: Jordan Gross is one of those defenders who sells NFL tickets, and that's only one reason why his season-ending injury in Week 10 was so devastating for the team. Gross was injured during Carolina's Week 10 game against the Atlanta Falcons when Falcon Vance Walker landed on his right leg, and the injury was quickly diagnosed as a broken ankle. Gross now joins starters Maake Kemoeatu, Louis Leonard and Thomas Davis on the team's injured reserve.

Josh Cribbs, Wide Receiver, Cleveland Browns: A 16-0 loss wasn't the only hard hit the Cleveland Browns took in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens. Receiver Josh Cribbs also went down during the game, taking a huge hit by Baltimore defensive end Dwan Edwards on the final play of the game. Cribbs was toted off the field on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital, where medics checked for a concussion. While the extent of his injury is unknown in the days following the injury, if he did suffer a concussion, Cribbs will likely be out for at least Cleveland's Week 11 game against the Detroit Lions.

Brian Westbrook, Running Back, Philadelphia Eagles: Westbrook's future in the NFL could be in jeopardy, and not just for the season. The all-star running back suffered his second concussion in three weeks in the Eagles' Week 10 game against the San Diego Chargers, hurt after being caught in the crossfire between Eagles receiver Jason Avant and Chargers safety Eric Weddle in the third quarter of the game.Nfl Tickets - Injuries Mount In Week 10 Action

After the Eagles' Week 10 loss to the Chargers, Philadelphia coach Andy Reid expressed concern for the running back, saying, "Football right now for Brian Westbrook is not the important thing. It's making sure that we get him analyzed, tested and taken care of and then we'll go from there. Not that we didn't do that before." Westbrook is an instrumental piece of Philly's offense, and he's likely to be out for at least a couple weeks following this concussion.

Kyle Orton, Quarterback, Denver Broncos: Kyle Orton's future in Denver looks questionable, but he showed the haters what the Broncos would look like without him when he went down with an ankle injury in Denver's Week 10 game against the Washington Redskins. Orton was hurt in the second quarter of the game and didn't return to the field, leaving the Broncos to call backup Chris Simms to the helm. Simms lost Denver's 17-14 halftime lead in the second half, and the Broncos ultimately lost the game 27-17. The extent of Orton's injury hasn't yet been discussed, but it doesn't look to be a season-ender.

Troy Polamalu, Safety, Pittsburgh Steelers: Troy Polamalu is the stuff the Pittsburgh Steelers' "Steel Curtain" defense is made of, and that makes his knee injury even harder to deal with. Polamalu initially tore his medial collateral ligament in his left knee earlier this season, but he reinjured the knee in Pittsburgh's Week 10 game against the Cincinnati Bengals on the Bengals' first possession of the game, straining his posterior cruciate ligament in the same knee. Polamalu's return will likely be a slow one for Pittsburgh, but it can't come fast enough. Get tickets to an upcoming Steelers game online and watch for a Polamalu comeback!
