Week 1 of the NFL's regular season caused several shake-ups in the league

, and more than a few upsets got the 2010-11 season up and running. While teams like the Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers and Dallas Cowboys proved they've got a lot of work to do to return to dominance during their Week 1 scuffles, bad news struck even more teams as a handful of injuries plagued the league, as well. Here are some of the biggest players to endure injuries during Week 1 matchups.

Bob Sanders, Safety, Indianapolis Colts. At this point, Bob Sanders is more likely to make the news for being healthy than he is for being injured. The Colts are in a tight spot with Sanders; when he's healthy Sanders is a beast on the field, but he's not healthy enough to warrant the millions of dollars the Colts have poured into his services. Sanders is once again facing a season-ending injury at the beginning of the 2010-11 season, having reportedly sustained a torn biceps injury during Week 1 in the opposite arm that he suffered a torn biceps in last season. Sanders has missed 27 of the last 36 games - including playoffs - and played in just two games last season. His replacement Melvin Bullitt has done a fantastic job with the Colts, leading many to believe if his current injury is as serious as last year's, Sanders could be on his way out of Indy.

Ryan Grant, Running Back, Green Bay Packers. Grant will be out the rest of the season after reportedly tearing a ligament in his ankle during the Packers' season opener. This is a big blow to the Packers, who counted on Grant to carry the team's running game and who don't have a lot of options behind him on the depth chart. Brandon Jackson, a back with possibly just as much talent as Grant, will start in his place for the rest of the season, but Green Bay's next option in the backfield will be John Kuhn.

Kris Jenkins, Defensive Tackle, New York Jets. We've seen a lot of repeat injuries aggravating players already this season, and Jets DT Kris Jenkins is the latest to be a repeat offender of a torn ACL. In his first game back for the Jets after a season-ending ACL injury last year, Jenkins went down in the first quarter of the team's season opener against the Ravens, confirming he'll miss the rest of the season while recovering from the same injury. Last season, Sione Pouha and Mike DeVito stepped in during Jenkins' prolonged absence, and while it's advantageous that they're already prepared to go in for Jenkins again this season, the Jets might look to acquire some new veteran talent at the position this season.Nfl Tickets - Early Injuries Plague League

Connor Barwin, Defensive End, Houston Texans. The Texans will certainly sell NFL tickets this season, but they'll have to do so without Connor Barwin on the field. Barwin dislocated his right ankle during the team's season opener against the Colts, leaving the Texans with a big hole at the position. Houston will probably look for an experienced end to replace Barwin on the roster, and in the meantime they'll use Jesse Nading and Tim Jamison in his place.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Matt Moore and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb are also on injury watch after suffering concussions in their opening games of the season, though neither have been announced to miss their respective Week 2 games in the meantime. Should they adhere to the NFL's stricter rules on concussions and require more time off to recover, rookie Jimmy Clausen will take over for the Panthers and Michael Vick will lead the Eagles.
