Let me start by telling you that it is a nightmare scenario of mine, that I am doing a clients hair, and I reach for my clippers, turn them on and curse myself for not having invested in a new pair! This only happened to me once, and it is the reason that i ensure nowadays that i regularly replace my professional hair clippers.
As my old pair of oster clippers were slowly coming to a grinding halt, i decided that it may be time to switch allegiances, and give Wahl a shot. Many other stylists in my salon use Wahl clippers, so i though that i couldn't go far wrong in giving them a try. D on't get me wrong, I have nothing but good things to say about oster clippers; however, change is the mother of invention, so I threw myself in at the deep end!
First impressions of the Wahl Super Taper hair clippers, was that it really is a professional clipper - you can tell this by the weight and the power, and the way it is put together. It feel sturdy in your hand, like you could really whizz through even the thickest of hair with it. This initial impression certainly did not disappoint, as after i oiled up the hair clippers and clicked it on, it felt like i literally had the power! It buzzed as if i was ready to do some serious damage, luckily, in my trained hands, it is much more likely to create a masterpiece !
I used it on my first client, and i am not exaggerating when i say that it was incredible. It felt like all my christmases had come at once, as it was an absolute joy to style with. It makes hair cutting with clippers so enjoyable and really is as easy as 1 - 2 - 3. I can definitely say now that i would not hesitate to recommend these hair clippers to anybody looking for a very good and powerful pair of professional hair clippers, for a very reasonable price.
Fair enough, they are not at the high end of a salon budget, I have spent 100 before on my hair clippers, but they are certainly amongst, if not the best mains powered clipper i have ever used! one word would suffice to sum up my experience with wahl clippers - that word is immense.
