Lexus Dealerships Claim An Eighth Award From Auto Express
Customer service is one of the corner stone's of a successful business
. If you fail to look after your customers then someone else will and when budgets get tight and people get even fussier with their money, customer service becomes even more important. One company that has no problems when it comes to customer service are Lexus dealerships.Every year, Auto Express, one of the most prestigious car magazines in the UK holds a survey of customer service from all the dealerships around the United Kingdom and for the eighth year running Lexus dealerships have managed to scoop the top prize in this survey.
The poll was conducted by asking 20,000 drivers around the UK about the service that they had received at the various garages and the results do make interesting reading. Although Lexus dealerships have managed to blitz the competition once more, the manufacturer who managed to come in second may shock certain individuals. Skoda, backed up a tough year within the car market with its best finish in the survey.
Third place was reserved for the world largest car manufacturer, Toyota, who has recovered from a bad year to re-establish their assertiveness over the car market. Although they will be disappointed to have missed out on knocking the Lexus dealerships off of the top spot.
At the other end of the scale there are a number of companies that will head into 2010 with 'must do better' on their report card. Fiat, Vauxhall and Renault all featured in the bottom three places, Fiat finished third from bottom proving that just because you have good cars, poor customer service can let you down. The biggest bug bear of the customers was unreturned phone calls.
This was also an issue with the second from last company, Vauxhall, who faced the customer's wrath over the number of excuses offered when problems arose. That just left Renault who topped off a thoroughly miserable year by finishing bottom of the survey in a year that not only saw them face heavy criticism for cheating in Formula One but also saw a significant drop in sales.
It is the second year that Renault have trailed in at the back of the survey and something will have to be done in 2010 if the company is to recapture the sense of pride and passion that was once associated with driving a Renault.
But congratulations should go to the Lexus dealerships who have managed to triumph through all the adversity of the credit crunch and economic crisis and still come out with a first class service.
