Kia is a brand that is less known in the UK but bigger in Europe, and is being brought over to this country in a push to appeal to all markets. The brand is most known for its smaller vehicles, but this year they are launching a larger car to cash in on the want for a MPV and four by four style car, and the emerging market for these type of vehicles here in the UK. The Kia Venga MPV is not the cheapest in its price range, but it is a chic drive and feels luxury. From the inside of the car you get plenty of space, with a good sized, extendable boot to ensure that all pets, football kits and ballet bags fit with ample space to spare. The rear sides can slide forwards and fold flat, and the boot level can be raised to level which is handy and a rare feature in vehicles currently on the market. This makes it easier to lift things like bikes and buggies out of the car if you are on your own. If you are especially short of tall tough you will be disappointed by the lack of movement in both the steering wheel column and the seats, but if you are what the brand consider to be a regular height then you will find the elevated driving position to give a good view.
The car comes with a seven year warranty, and air conditioning, remote control locking and electric front windows come as standard to all models. Stability control is also a standard feature, and the headrests are cleverly designed to reduce whiplash; another handy feature.
The problem with this model is that the drive is fairly average; you are thrown about a bit when you take a corner and at speeds the engine is loud, and this reverberates around the cabin. The Venga is a bit of a tardis and is very spacious in both the back and the front.
