Keep Your Children From Bad Company
If you ever feel your children mixing with wrong kind of people you certainly have
to figure out what is wrong and how can you deal with the situation. There can be many reasons for this minor or intense and the immediate response is necessary as soon as you become aware of this fact.The life has become so fast that even family members dont have time for each other. They are too much indulged in their work or lives that they forget the fact that providing basic necessities is not the real job, the real thing is giving your family and children time and attention. Parents are the first to whom the children are very close. And your little casual attitude towards them will throw them in the darkness of bad company.
The major cause of children mixing with bad companies is mostly the deprivation of parents love and attention. Every child wants attention and it is something natural. When the desired attention and love is not given, the child begins to seek attention elsewhere and this is the point where most of the children fell into bad company. It is not an easy task to keep your children away from bad company until or unless you are not committed towards your responsibilities. You as a parent are a role model for your children and when they find you busy in your routine, not giving them time, they become distracted.
This desperation often plunge them into a poor self image. They lose confidence in themselves. What you need to do is to spare some time for your children. Sit with them and most importantly listen to them. Always encourage your child to share his/her feelings or experiences with you. This will give them confidence and they will not hide anything from you and this will help you in turn by knowing what your children are up to.
Always show interest in your children activities. Be with them on every special event. Keep a track record of your child performance in the school. Meet his/her teachers and ask them about the class habits and progress about your child.
The one important way to keep your children from the bad company is to know their friends. This is a crucial step. It is important as parents to know that with whom your children spend their leisure time. Try to know about their backgrounds, about their families etc. if you feel any of his/her friend a bad influence on your child; guide your child away from them. It is not easy and you have to deal with the situation very deftly. Never force your child to leave his/her friend straight away. Your child may become rebel and wont listen to you. The simple way is to keep your child busy in some activities, try to divert his/her attentions. Make them realize gradually that what is right and what is wrong.
You will see that with your love and care and under your guidance, they will never go astray. With little efforts, you can make your child a responsible person.
