More and more people are looking for alternative ways to make extra money
. A high percentage of these people, thousands every day, are exploring the Internet for that alternative way. Some just want to pay off some debt, or make an extra bit of spending money. Others are frustrated working for a boss and are looking for a way to make a living off the Internet.There are plenty of hyped-up success stories that make us believe that there are people out there who made loads of money overnight with very little effort and time.
On the other side of the scale there are also plenty of sad and frustrating stories of people who have been trying for years to make some money online, with no success. They say that they have tried a variety of methods, and spend lots of money on programs and "getting rich online" products, with no consistent income yet.
So the question remains: is it really so easy to make money online?
The shortest direct answer to that question simply is: yes, if you know how, and no, if you don't.
There truly are plenty of people out there making a comfortable living off the internet, and even way more people just making a few extra 100 bucks a month. It can surely be done.
Think about this for a moment. Let's say you love cooking and want to start a restaurant.
First you need to do some research on where it will be financially viable to start a restaurant. You need to learn how to handle every aspect of having a restaurant. You need premises with a building. You need to equip the inside of your restaurant with whatever you need. Then you need to employ the correct people for the jobs that need to be done. You also need plans on how to bring people to the restaurant, to make them come back again, and to build up a long term regular customer base. And of course, you also need to cook well every day.
All the different aspects of building up your new business takes researching, learning, planning, implementing, hard work, persistence, patience and time. And if you do everything right and consistent, then, with time, you will have a regular monthly income, doing the work you enjoy.
It works exactly the same with an online business. There are many aspects that you need to learn and understand. You need a market. You need to have a presence online (blog or website), you need to design your blog or website and fill it with relevant information. You need something to sell, either a service or product. You need to generate traffic to your site. You need to keep the people who come to your site happy, so that they come back again, etc, etc.
You basically have two options to start an online business with no experience. Firstly, you can do a lot of research, and learn by trial and error as you go along. Secondly, you can learn by following the people who have done it already. The second option might shorten the time it takes to make your first sale, tremendously.
So is it really so easy to make money online? Yes, but just like starting a restaurant, it also takes learning, researching, planning, implementing, hard work, persistence, patience and time.
