Is Dining Out On The Increase?

Share: We have all been hit by the effects of the economic climate in one way or another and
, whilst a host of business sectors have been affected by the economic downturn, it appears that one area that the great british public is refusing to forego is dining out. Probably not as frequently, but it seems we are intent of treating ourselves to a delightful dining experience whenever possible.
We may be left with no choice but to not change the car this year, the yearly exotic holidays budget may be reduced and, in fact, be taken out of our leisure budget completely, so with various cut backs that we are all having to make, it seems that dining out is the one area where we feel we can treat ourselves. It also gives us an opportunity to meet up with friends and family, something that so often can get neglected due to our hectic lifestyles.
The pub used to be the place to meet up and catch up with all the news whilst sipping a few pints or the odd glass of wine but sadly these venues are rapidly declining. However, the casual dining restaurants have seen an increase in demand and are actively competitive in producing the best menus at the best prices.
Restaurants across the country are offering deals galore, 2 for 1 offers, Bottle of Wine Free, Free Dessert and a number of other teasers that are tempting us to choose where we dine and what price we are prepared to pay, and a deal or an offer is difficult for any of us to refuse, we all like a bargain.
It appears that the more casual dining is a favourite, a place where you dont have to put on the suit or the cocktail dress and as a nation we have become much more casual in our dress, therefore, the casual dining experience is a big favourite with most of us.
One such restaurant, The Bru in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, is a perfect location for the casual diner and welcomes couples and families alike, and has some great dining offers throughout the seasons.
Located on the promenade in Aldeburgh, a traditional fishing town that has changed little over the years, The Bru restaurant has one of the best views to be had along the Suffolk coast. A stones throw from the pebbled beach where the local fishermen still fish daily, the Bru offers panoramic views from its restaurant and even has a terrace, perfect for dining on a warm summers evening. A great casual restaurant with friendly staff, making customers of all ages welcome.
