Andhra Pradesh is one of the most important states of India

. It is situated on the south-eastern coast of India. Andhra Pradesh is 4th largest state by area ad 5th largest by population. Hyderabad is the capital city of Andhra Pradesh and is one of the most visited places of Hyderabad.

Hyderabad is the capital city of Andhra Pradesh and is a thriving metropolis. Of late the city has emerged as an IT hub. It is also known as the city of Nizams and the city of pearls. Hyderabad has given many world class players to India such as Sania Mirza (tennis), VVS Laxman (cricket), Saina Nehwal (badminton) and Mukesh Kumar (hockey). It is the city where the north Indian and south Indian cultures meet and co-exist in perfect harmony. Its cuisines, especially the Hyderabadi Biryani is popular all over India. It has a large number of tourist places to offer.

The following are the tourist attractions in the city:

Charminar: Situated in the heart of the city, Charminar has become a landmark of Hyderabad. Built in 1591 by Sultan Quli Qutub Shah to commemorate the elimination of a deadly plague from the city, it has become a signature to the city. Its four graceful minarets soar to a height 48.7m above the ground. There is a market surrounding this structure.

Mecca Masjid: Mecca Masjid is the oldest Masjid in the city and one of the biggest in the country. It is situated close to Charminar. It was also built by the Sultan Quli Qutub Shah. The structure is 75 feet high, 220 feet wide and 180 feet long. It is so big that it can accommodate up to 10000 worshippers at a time. Standing 54m tall, it is an impressive structure.

Golconda Fort: Golconda is a ruined south Indian city that was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Golconda. It is one of the most famous forts in India. It was built by the Qutub kings to avoid Mughal invasion from the north. Golconda was also an area of flourishing diamond trade.

Tirupathi temple: The Tirupathi temple is one of the most important Hindu temples in the country. It is one of the most visited pilgrim site in the world. A part of this temple is built in gold.
