The largest draw in the park is the memorial of Diana, Princess of Wales. It is in the form of a beautiful fountain that was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 2004. This mesmerizing piece of landscaping has been designed by Kathryn Gustafson. The memorial is an oval structure made using 545 pieces of Cornish granite. Another is 7 July Memorial, erected in the honour of the 52 victims of the London subway bombings. You can pay them homage on your visit to Hyde Park, London. The memorial was unveiled by the Duchess of Cornwall and includes 52 stainless steel pillars (one of each dead). The names of all the victims are inscribed on a plaque next to the memorial.
