You can start shopping earlier in the year. While you might not get special Christmas bonuses, or get absolutely everything you need, it will end up saving you money when the end of the year draws near and Christmas is only a few weeks away. You don't need to go out in the middle of Summer with the idea of buying Christmas presents that's not how it works. All you have to do it, if you see something when you're doing the grocery shopping or out for a spot of lunch, put it in your basket and store it in a safe place when you go home. That's already a couples dollars that you'll save during the busy Christmas period!
If shopping earlier in the year isn't your thing and you love the atmosphere and spirit of Christmas shopping, then try going the other way about it and start saving up earlier in the year. Grab an old jar or pot and start putting spare change in it it might not seem like much at the time, but those few cents or dollars really start to add up as the weeks go by, and every little helps when it comes to buying Christmas presents.
Do a few things from home to earn a little extra cash for Christmas. You could clear out your loft or garage and have a yard sale, or you could include the kids in some baking and have a bake sale. There are plenty of fun things you can do at home that could lead to a little extra money in your pocket. It might not be enough to buy your entire list of presents, but it will still help.
