With the wide range of costumes available, it can be tricky to choose which will be best for your child. Why not start by thinking of their favourite television, story or movie characters? Chances are there is a costume for it - with everything from Scooby-Doo, Winne the Pooh and Darth Vadar, to Cinderella, Minnie Mouse and High School Musical characters on offer.
Also it can be difficult to know what to choose for your child as they get older. For example, babies and children up to about the age of two will probably not be fazed no matter which costume you put on them. After about the age of two, kids start to recognise their favourite film characters, like Toy Story's Woody or Snow White's Doc - making it easier to find them something they will love come fancy dress time. Or, as they get a little older, why not ask them what they want to be when they grow up? This is often a good source of inspiration, and lets them live out their fantasy for a while!
