Here we are - working hard and "broke". All that consumes our thoughts - besides making ends meet - is how to make money to pay the bills. That's right, for everyone of us - no money means no "fun". No fund means what - no life or at least a real big disappointment. We can never face the family - ever. But it is a big deal.
How to Get Balance
Getting a "good job" was a struggle for most and down right fantastic result for all of us. Losing out now - failing to make the grade - just because of a few dollars isn't really an option - if you plan your work and work your plan.
I have been right where you are - so many times. I went to school, starting with my first "job" but I was constantly "short". I worked two jobs first in school then even after I was out. We scrimped on food, we had a crappy apartment - the works. We never did anything "fun" that I had to pay for - I just got some kind of job to allow me in to sell and watch the game at the same time - not very impressive. Yeah that's right, I did anything to save a buck.
There Are Choices - Some Better Than Others
There are loads of answers to how to make earn a decent living. But let me tell you - so many are just dead ends! Worse yet - they offer lots of "work" and little "reward". Sure I have some pride about "work my way up" but not about the way I bargained away my time and talent for virtually nothing. I did the work but I could have gotten so much more if I had just known what I know today.
The one thing I got from my work experience is that learning never stops. Most important - I discovered that my life choices either helped me learn or just drained me. I have had dead end jobs and projects. But I got out of them as fast as I could when I couldn't learn and grow. Sounds funny? Close your eyes and think of the time you and I have spent preparing for the "perfect" job. When we sat down to our work did we intend to know more when we finished? Of course.
So What Do We Do Now ?
Take it from years of experience - to be happy and successful in life we simply must demand to learn and grow every time we provide our service or we work for anyone else or ourselves. If you can't learn - you can not grow.
Well my learning includes a lot of research on the internet. I a bunch of scams but I also found some real useful tools. Today the internet delivers the modern opportunity to be successful. It lets users work efficiently on a host of projects. We can expect work to come to us rather than us going to it. But here is the key - you can simply never stop learning. The work changes constantly and you must also change too - to remain competitive!
