Though not an easy task, looking slim, trim has become a going trend in the 21st Century. Ironically, as women have increasingly become independent and self sufficient creatures, the pressure to be a perfect size zero,two, or four has also increased. Since the new age woman takes on a plethora of responsibilities non existant before the 1920's, it would seem that 'looking' stunning would not be defined as 'thin'.
But it seems that despite the fact that society has progressed as far as it has, it has also propogated the idea that the 'ideal' woman must be thin. There are many reasons for this undue pressure on the modern woman: the entertainment & music industry, peer pressure, the need to find a partner, high expectations of other gender, etc .
Whatever may be the reason, in a world filled with fast technology, fast food, speed dating, and facebook, it's difficult to maintain a model-thin figure.
So what is the answer? Is it shelling out hundreds and thousands of dollars on personal trainers that ensure you workout? Or is it shelling out hundreds on specialized meal plans that are actually packaged and processed chemically degenerate morsels of food? All of these answers are answers which dominate the 'become thin' movement.
Personally, I think that the best way to combat these unrealistic expectations is to wear bodysuit shapewear underneath all clothing.
