That date is also the day of the Tampa Bay Derby at Tampa Downs, but trainer Todd Pletcher is leaning towards the race at Gulfstream Park, if it fills. With $100,000 and no conditions for the race, racing secretary Dan Bork, is confident the race will go. The current horse racing picks to win the Derby and subsequent Triple Crown, Uncle Mo has had only one minor setback in training when his barn was under quarantine because of a sick horse elsewhere in the barn, so he missed 3 to 4 days of training. For a horse of his talent it seems like a tiny hiccup at best, and all other 3 year olds need to fear this monster!
