Even before you move in your parents, you can take them to the same facility and make them used to it. You can arrange a small meeting with residents of the community and have dinner along with your parents. This will make them confident that they can fit in socially at such communities.

On the day they are going to be shifted, every needed thing is going to be packed and moved. Try to keep your parents away from this site as they will become sad seeing this scene. You can take them for a ride or for a meal or may even visit any of your friend or relative while that happens in the background.

While the moving company comes in to shift and setup a new home for your parents they might ask you to help them hanging few pictures on the wall or decorate few pieces. Doing this you will ensure that everything is up to the mark and will work great for your parents.

Once you take them to their new home, they will be emotional and feel light to see that their new apartment is just like home with their all stuff around.

Need not mention you must have first meal of their together, possibly, entire family.

Well, you have done a wonderful job for and with your parents. Gradually you will see some great new changes and some re-appearing.
