Have Fun With Your Dog
The word pet is not something you can always apply to dogs
. If there is one person, or in this case an animal, that we can totally rely on for support and companionship it would be our dog. There's more to taking care of a dog than just keeping them fed and housed. Keeping them strong and healthy would take some work.Making the effort to spend some time with your dog helps in building your trust with one another. The more time you spend time with your dog, then the more your dog learns to trust you; time spent together makes you familiar with each others' moods, gestures and feelings.
Teaching a dog new trick doesn't have to be such a serious business, you're dog will learn better if he's having fun and so will you, making your dog more eager to learn new tricks.
Follow The Leader would be a good game. Call other pet owners so you can play this game with your dogs. First you need to put some cones or can on the ground to serve as roadblocks, then you have to get your dog to follow as you do rounds around the obstacle; this would be a good way to teach your dog to come to you when you say their name. If you want to take it further, you can have the leaders switch places and play the game again from the start.
Play Hide and Seek. This is one good way to teach your dog to stay in one place, he'll have to stay where he is until you've had the chance to hide and learn to come to you when you call; this is one fun way to teach him some tricks and also spend some time playing with each other.
To make it more fun, you can hide treats in secret places and have your dog search for it.
This would be one good way to practice his hunting skill and to reward him for his efforts as well.
One way you can spend time together is to go out for on an early morning run. Not only does it let you spend some time with your dog, it also helps keep you and your dog in great shape. Bringing a Frisbee with you will make the run more interesting, not only will you be exercising you're also going to have some fun; your dog will also benefit intellectually as the game will teach him how to anticipate the moves you're going to make.
So you see, you can have some fun with your dog through different activities. Playing these games with him teaches him how to interact well with humans and make them more manageable; it also brings man and animal closer together.
