People and pets go back too many years to count
. Man has a long-standing link with dogs an extension of the basic attachment that maintains contact between people. Dogs seek out people and take obvious pleasure in their company. They often fulfill a childlike role and are dependent on their owners throughout their life. Unfortunately, not everyone will get to experience what's it like to have a dog; allergies may play a factor, or, it may be as simple as not liking dogs to begin with.For those that have always wanted a dog but couldn't have one, a big plush dog is one alternative to the real thing. While a big plush dog doesn't require the same care as the real thing, in a small way it can help to fill the void of not having a pet. Big plush dogs come big -they can stand as tall as three feet. For a child, given the height and size of big plush dogs, they really will feel as though they have a dog of their very own.
Welcoming a dog into one's home involves a new set of responsibilities. Responsible ownership is not to be taken lightly. Puppies are delightful, but that can sometimes mean taking on more than you bargained for. It makes sense to try and match your lifestyle and preferences to the need of the dog, thus if you're out of the house a lot and/or have very young children, a puppy may not be the way to go. In addition, small children can be knocked over by big, bouncy puppies and large breeds can also be a handful. While your child may 'beg' and plead for a puppy, sometimes going with a big plush dog instead, is just an all around better choice. A big plush dog can become part of your child's world much like a family pet would it can be a friend, companion, and comforter for a child, like a cherished teddy bear. A big plush dog offers a child the opportunity to give it hugs like they would with a puppy and given a big plush dogs size, it can actually feel quite lifelike.
You really can't go wrong in choosing a big plush dog over something smaller. You may even decide to opt for one that has an all over floppy body so that it can be positioned on the floor as though it were lying down. A floppy big plush dog makes a fantastic pillow that a child can snuggle up with anytime they like. Some breeds of dog wouldn't appreciate being be lied on quite like a plush one would.
Like the real thing, a big plush dog needs love and attention as much as can be provided, in fact. While big plush dogs don't have a beating heart, they will love a child nonetheless just like a child will undoubtedly love them right back.
