Happiness - Not A Destination But A Journey
What is happiness? What is being happy? Well, I bet you have your own perception and definition of happiness or being happy
. But most of us may have the wrong idea of what happiness is all about. Happiness is a part of life. It's like a roller coaster ride for a lifetime. Sometimes you are happy and sometimes you are sad. So you see it is as simple as solving a basic equation of math. But one thing is for sure, happiness is a choice. Being happy lies within your own hands; it is your decision whether to be happy or not.Life is a journey and so is happiness. Happiness is inclined with so many things that life has to offer that we, humans, could not even provide the exact definition of it. We become happy for billions of reason, unlimited list of gratefulness and overflowing love from others. But what is true happiness? Or should I say - what is real happiness for you? To find the real meaning of happiness is to look into yourself. The idea of being happy lies with your own judgment on how life has been treating you all through the years of your living. It is finding peace with in you and the acceptance of who you are and what you have become. It is simply a choice.
You may be happy at this very moment and then next minute you may be sad. But it is with your perception and decision that gives you that smile on your face that defines real happiness. It may be what your heart says or what your mind dictates. But keep in mind that you don't get to be deceived by your heart because your heart can be very deceiving. Real happiness comes from the idea of leading your heart. Don't get blinded by what seem to be making you sad. You have to go deeper within yourself of understanding that life's trials are part of life where you can fight and win over it by declaring to yourself that you have the right and the decision to be happy.
I could tell you all day what makes me happy or what could make you happy. But you are the one who controls yourself and you must have the determination to find true happiness within you. Reflecting alone could be your happiness. Cleaning the hose could be your happiness. Travelling the world could be your happiness. Whatever you say what being happy is - is your choice. Indeed, we all can conclude that happiness is a journey, not a destination. Never wish or achieve or reach to be happy. Never have happiness as your goal. Just choose to be happy then you will be happy.
