Hampi in Karnataka was the capital city of powerful Vijayanagara Empire. This vast empire stretched from Deccan Plateau to the Peninsula. This colossal empire comprises of 3 states - Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh.

Numerous ancient temples and other architectures are found in Hampi. The Vithala Temple of Hampi is a great attraction, here one can see the massive stone chariot which is arrayed with many pillars. The striking beauty of the temple would leave you awestruck. Hampi can be visited either from Goa or Bangalore for two days.
