Prediction of the gout attack is difficult. In most of the cases it starts at night times. Gout symptoms develops rapidly but last only for about 5-10 days period. In most of cases there are chances of gout returning back. When the gout disappears the person feels normal again.
The foremost symptom of gout is acute pain in the joint especially in the big toe. The main symptoms of gout are inflammation, red and shiny skin at the joint, itchy and peeling skin over the affected joint region, bulging and swelling. Should be low in fats Foods such as cherries, blue berries, bananas, low fat dairy food products, foods which are rich in vitamin C, rice, breads, cereals may also be taken. Gout diagnosis is difficult as it shows irregular behavior with uric acid levels. A needle is inserted in the joint and lubricant fluid is taken and observed under a microscope to see whether uric acid crystals are there are not.
