building inspector from the local council will come and check the quality and safety of the building work carried out by a builder.

Check that any brick-paved area has had sand spread over it to fill the gaps.

The hot water unit should sit on a concrete slab at the correct finished ground level.

All paving edges need to be bedded in with concrete.
