Once considered a bit too alternative for the average guy, todays engagement rings for men are more attractive than you think.
Which styles are being worn as mens engagement rings?
Engagement rings for men are fairly open ended when it comes to style. Some women find that a plain gold band is the ideal match for her fiancs taste, while other women get something more extravagant. Its usually a good idea to find out what a man will and will not wear before purchasing an engagement ring. There are plenty of mens rings that combine masculine features, such as black inset cables, with a single cubic zirconium in the center. Another unobtrusive way for men to wear diamonds is by choosing a simple brushed white gold band with three tiny diamonds set into the band.
What happens to the engagement ring on the wedding day?
Again, there are no hard and fast rules with regard to engagement rings for men. As more men begin to wear them, traditions may emerge that dictate how they are to be worn alongside a wedding band. One way of doing this is by moving the engagement ring to the right hand and keeping the wedding band on the left. Another way is to purchase a narrow coordinating band that can be worn on the same hand as the engagement ring. Other men simply stop wearing an engagement ring and replace it with the wedding band.
Are mens promise rings the same as engagement rings?
Promise rings and engagement rings for men are not necessarily the same.
