Dolphins still confident of NFL success despite retirement of Ferguson

The Miami Dolphins might lose one of its top players to retirement but the team is

still very much confident of achieving success in the next season of the National Football League. The Dolphins franchise revealed the recent retirement of defensive tackle Jason Ferguson will not affect their preparation and chances in the next season of the premier professional football league in the planet. Ferguson decided to quit playing professional football after 13 years in the NFL. The defensive tackle thank the Dolphins for all the years he had played with them. In his years in the NFL, Ferguson played for the New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys and Dolphins. He recorded 569 tackles, 21.5 sacks, 12 passes defended, six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in his NFL career. Dolphins executive vice president of football operations Bill Parcell expressed sadness over the decision of Ferguson to retire but accepted it with an open heart. Parcell said the Dolphins are now ready for now training hard to have a successful year in the next NFL season. Expected to take the lead for the Dolphins in the next NFL season are starters Ronnie Brown, Will Allen, running back Patrick Cobbs and linebacker Channing Crowde Coming back from their respective injuries, both Cobbs and Crowder are excited to play professional football and help the cause of their team. Crowder, entering his sixth season, also prides himself on being in top physical condition, but he had been nicked up twice before during his career a leg injury that ended his 2007 season shortly after Thanksgiving and a knee injury that kept him out of one game at Kansas City in 2008. Like Cobbs, Crowder is getting the itch to feel full contact again and know that he can contribute on the field in new defensive coordinator Mike Nolan's defense without any hesitation because of his foot. The Dolphins are confident they could have a great NFL season this year if their key players will remain injury free. Get your Cheap NFL Tickets
