When it comes to stocking an online store the great thing is that you don't really have to have the products

The reason I use yard sales is because people will often times just want to get rid of their stuff and if I can get an entire box of stuff for free or very cheap then it will make a killing for profit. Another great thing about getting products from yard sales is that you won't spend as much up front which means you can sell the products for less than anywhere else and get a quick profit from the product. The only bad thing about buying from yard sales is that you have to keep very good records for your taxes because you will need to account for all the profit.
And the reason I love Ebay is because you can find many wholesales lots of stuff that you can find for pennies per product instead of paying full price per product. If you just search around on Ebay you will notice that almost every category has a sub category for wholesale lots, and wholesale lots are they key to make a lot of money very quickly.
