Corolla Lease Recipients Will Be Able To Purchase From An American Plant By 2011
Some big corporate setbacks have been popular items in the news as of late
. The most recent of them was, of course, the oil spill, the result of shoddy planning and poor execution by BP and related companies. Your Rav4 lease location will tell you that another huge one was the recent recall of Toyota models, including the Prius, Corolla and Camry. Most notably of the three models was the Prius, which represented the largest number of recall vehicles. The recall wreaked havoc on the Toyota brand, leading to dropped sales, media scrutiny, government involvement and huge drops in brand loyalty. Getting a Corolla lease is much easier than it used to be these days, with the dropping sales and lease numbers putting Toyota in some dire straits.
But whats this? Toyota plans to make good on turning an unused plant in Mississippi into a fully functional Corolla making machine. The facility, located in Blue Springs, Miss., will start pumping out copies of the top-selling sedan starting in the fall of 2011. Rav4 lease locations are happy to see their brand brethren getting a new lease on life on U.S. shores. The activity that the plant will create is sure to spur on the creation of more jobs, a big thing for our job market, which still remains in shambles following what we can only hope was the worst of the recession. Drivers interested in getting a Corolla lease will also be happy to know that the car theyre interested in is being created right here on U.S. soil.
"Toyota remains committed to making vehicles where we sell them and to maintaining a substantial manufacturing presence in North America," said Yoshimi Inaba, president and chief operating officer of Toyota Motor North America.
To man the plant, Toyota plans to bring on about 2,000 new workers, which will be a great thing for the economy of Mississippi. Originally begun in 2007, the project to create this plant and make it fully operational was put on hold due to the sudden onset of the recession, but now people interested in getting a Corolla lease are more than welcome to peruse the selection at their local dealers. Originally, the plant was created to facilitate the manufacture of Highlander sport utility vehicles and Prius hybrid but the facility has been repurposed to cater to market demand. As the demand stays pretty stagnant for a Rav4 lease, Corolla will continue to be one of Toyotas best selling models for as long as the brand is around.
This is a huge step in the right direction for the fledgling Toyota, who seemed at the brink of disaster just months ago. Dont get me wrong; the Japanese manufacturer has seen its fair share of hits as a result of this huge manufacturing mistake. But never have I seen an automaker bounce back so quickly as Toyota has done following this critical disaster in the U.S. We can expect more of the same innovation from the foreign automaker over the coming years.
