Always take off your shoes if you see them lying at the entrance.

Always follow rules, regulations and code of conduct at the destination

India is a country where several religions exist in perfect harmony. Every religious place has its own set of beliefs and code of conduct. For example, if you are visiting a Gurudwara, it is mandatory for both men and women to cover their head. Similarly wildlife enthusiasts must take care of the jungle norms and must not disturb the wilds. Also, it is advisable to enjoy photography session from a distance.

Dont give money to the beggars

While travelling in India, you will come across beggars at every destination. Looking at their condition, you might sympathize and give them money. Most beggars are a part of begging ring and have their own touts and the collected money goes into their pockets.

Beware of touts and agents

Touts are unfortunate fact of India tours. It is advised to avoid people who are trying to provide unwanted help as they must have some hidden agenda. They are usually associated with local restaurants; taxi service and souvenir shop and get commission money if they manage to convince you.

Avoid the use of left hand while eating or passing objects

The use of left hand while eating is considered unclean and offensive in India. The reason is that left hand is usually associated with matters in the bathroom. Therefore, it is advised not to use left hand while eating or passing objects to other people.
