Think Arizona, think Grand Canyon! And, think Phoenix, think churches. That is a surprise. As this city is known for its rugged mountainous terrain and tough cowboys, no one would imagine that Phoenix is home for many great churches too.It is even one of the largest cities in United States. In the heart of Phoenix is the "Trinity Cathedral" which is a stone structure of sprawling proportions and one look at it takes you back to the days when the marauding Spanish established colonies and the inevitable Churches. There is, however, more number of Protestant churches than Catholic churches in Phoenix. Even more surprising is that there are ninety Lutheran churches situated here for people of Germanic origin. But, there are hardly 10% of the city's inhabitants who are Germans.
