Christmas Tree Bells were ringing on the air. Snowflakes were falling silently on the street...
Despite the freezing outside, Merry knew that she had to hurry because it would soon get dark.
It was Christmas Eve and she saw happy families in all of the houses she passed on her way home. There was her favorite Christmas bells decoration for trees.
Merry was a bit sad on this particular Christmas Eve because she missed her family and did not know where they were.
Suddenly a bright light was shown in the distance, and some girls started singing Carols in the central square of the town. Each of them handed with Christmas Tree Bell.
It was the night of the Christmas tree light up....
Merry walked towards the bright lights that shone in the Christmas tree. She felt her heart being filled with hope for the first time in a long while. It had been a difficult year for Merry. She was an orphan since last Christmas and she now lived with her grumpy uncle who hated Christmas.
She thought to her with tears running down her cheeks 'Could I really find my family?'
That was her dream to find her family. She couldn't stop thinking about them, especially now, during the holidays. Christmas had always been their favorite time of the year, filled with so much joy, caroling, wonderful smells, hugs and love. Oh, she missed them so...
In that moment Merry had an idea. One idea that could makes both her and her grumpy uncle so much happier if it worked.
Lost in her thoughts, she headed for the church..
