Christmas is a time for celebration and being with your loved ones. It is all about expressing your love and gratitude towards those for whom you have been waiting the whole year along. Personalizing a gift would necessarily mean you add that something that is made out of your own thoughts and with your own hands. In other words, it is original. The simplest idea of personalizing a Christmas gift can be to just make your own ribbon bow to be pasted on the gift paper. You can writer your name on the ribbon or get it embossed to offer great looks to the bow.
Remember that while you are gifting anyone, it is the shell that gets noticed first and that holds a lot of value since the person opening the gift would already have set expectations looking at the wrapper itself. Also, it really depends on whom you are gifting it to? If it is for your parents or grandparents, it is a great idea to put some handprints of your children on the gift wrapper. This would be memorable to them more than the gift itself. If it is for youngsters, it needs to be bright with certain themes. For example, if it is for your son, then he would like a bright paper on which you can past miniature Santa pictures or idols for his Christmas gift wrapper. Similarly if your gifts are for other younger members of the family, you can even paste small candies on the wrapping paper itself and I am sure they would love keeping the wrapping paper more than the gift itself.
Another idea which had become famous in between was to cover the gift with two different contrasting coloured papers, into equal halves. This offer great looks and your gift stands out from the rest. And then, if you have some more time then you can completely wrap the gift in ribbons or even use silk cloth. But one my favourite ideas to create Christmas gift wrappers is to first get your own stamp created. Then using a plain brown wrapping paper, you can stamp your name and symbol on the paper many times. This looks unique and creates your own design of wrapping paper. And it is not very expensive too since you do not require any flashy piece of wrapping paper for your gift.
