Child abuse is an inhuman act that occurs every day at some corner of the world

Child abuse can leave a lifetime scar on the children and even make them worse as they grow up. This article focuses on the child abuse in films. There are various types of child abuse that produces a devastating effect on the society. Learning about the various types of child abuse would be of great help to understand the impacts of the evil that has been prevalent in the film industry.

Verbally abusing children is the most common type of child abuse. This is also the most prevalent one in the films. Verbal abuse is nothing but criticism of a childs deeds and abilities. It often results in diminishing of the childs natural talents. Verbally abused children find it difficult to maintain good rapport with others because of the fear of getting belittled. They are often withdrawn and tend to avoid mingling with other children. The major part of verbal abuse is committed unknowingly by the parents of the children in film industry. This is why parents should never compare their child with a better performing kid.

Physical abuse is one other type of child abuse common in the films. Although there are a number of films that educated the public on child abuse, the industry itself faces this problem because of the shot tempered staff in the industry. Unlike the verbal abuse, in physical abuse children are inflicted with pain by the acts of hitting or pinching. When a physical punishment is awarded in public, it creates a negative impact on the childs psychology. There are several cases where the extreme level of physical abuse could lead to fracture of bones, bruised skin and even death.

The worst of all is sexually abusing the child. In spite of this being legally punishable act many child abusers get away without any punishment. Since children are afraid to reveal such horrible acts to their parents or trusted ones, it becomes easy for the criminal to get away without being noticed. Many films portray the condition of such children in a vivid manner. One other way these culprits use to trap children is to entice them with gifts and other attractions. A lot of researchers and volunteers have involved themselves in the fight against this cruelty. Although films depicting such child abuse seem to be a warning to the parents, the negative impacts of the films are heavy as well.Child Abuse In Films


Many awareness programs are being conducted to protect innocent children from the hands of the criminals in the society. Films can promote these awareness programs and educated both parents and kids regarding this social evil.
