OK, so you have gotten your Australian travel visa and are now planning your vacation in the country
. You check out some of the most popular tour packages and you found out that most, if not all, of them wont fit in to your budget. So, is it time to just postpone the trip until you have saved enough pocket money?Well, maybe not yet. You see, Australia actually has quite a lot of places that you can visit and enjoy without having to pay much. Here are some of these places that you might want to consider adding to your itinerary.
Hyde Park, Sydney
Hyde Park is actually one of the most popular places in the city where a lot of local and foreign travelers would often pass by to simply relax. There are several historical buildings that surround the park that you might also want to visit, such as the Australian Museum. You can also get a good photo op with the parks centerpiece, the Archibald Fountain for free (that is if you have your own camera).
However, one of the parks most popular attraction isnt actually a place here. In fact, the night noodle market has been moved around the park several times, but the people still keep on coming here. Stuff yourself silly with their wide assortment of noodles, dimsums, and other Asian inspired dishes for only a few dollars.
Barossa Valley, Adelaide
The wine capital of Australia, Barossa Valley gives you a good look at the countrys wine industry. There are several affordable tours here that will take you around the wine factories and let you see for yourself how Australias world famous wine brands are made. Some even give you first hand experience in the process.
And of course, no wine tours will be complete without having a taste of the product. And you will definitely be lucky as sampling is actually for free here. And if you do want to bring some back home, buying a bottle or two here will actually be very affordable.
Byron Bay, New South Wales
This seaside town is every travelers dream of a beach escapade. And its very cheap to get here too. Byron Bay offers tourists a nice day near the sea. Also, there are several music events that happen here annually, which will surely excite you.
And of course, a stop at Byron Bay wont be complete without visiting the famed lighthouse. And to make things even better, there is actually no entrance fee here, so you get a great view of the town and the sea without even getting your wallet out.
