The Chardham is generally visited by the pilgrims but there is no dearth of adventure lovers visiting this place.They visit this place for te sake of excursion and completely gete mesmerized by the beauty and attractiveness of this place.The places of attraction are-
Almora, Binsar, Bhimtal : Not very close to the vivid lights of cities, in a serene ambiance lies Almora which fetches alive all that is gorgeous in nature. Almora is positioned at the pinnacle on a peak that is semi circular. Almora is a city in the form of a horse shoe.
Hemkund Sahib, Joshimath : In close proximity to the Valley of flowers is the sacred lake Hemkund- a significant place of worship of the Sikhs and Hindus. All along its shoreline is the blessed Sikh place of pilgrimage where Guru Gobind singh, the tenth Guru united with god subsequent to extended meditation in his preceding birth. Close by is the Lakshman Temple where Lakshman - the brother of Lord Rama carried out his penance. The mirror image of adjoining snow- dressed peaks in its serene waters provides a picturesque view.
Kausani, Mukteshwar, Nainital : Cuddling in the middle of deep, impenetrable pine jungles, On top of the fine ridge, and alienated from the very tall mountains of the Nanda Devi series by small mountains, Kausani commands an unbelievable sight of 300 km of hoary magnificence of the Himalayan range. Admired by lyricists, writers and philosophers, this pleasing destination provides sightseeing, knowledge about the past and total entertainment.
Rudrapraprayag, Panchprayag : Rudraprayag is the coming together of the Rivers Mandakini and Alaknanda. It is thought that sagacious Narad worshipped here for a number of years at the shrine of Rudranath. The holy place is situated at the reunion point of the two rivers. Rudraprayag is one of the five well-known prayags of Garhwal in Uttaranchal. The stream Mandakini run from the Kedarnath while Alaknanda gush out from the Alkapuri glacier further than Badrinath. Rudraprayag is placed on the eminent pilgrimage road of Kedarnath and Badrinath. Close by town of Srinagar is the renowned enlightening city of Garhwal. There are numerous very old temples in this city
