For divided families, two birthday parties are also extremely convenient. When parents are divorced, parties celebrated simultaneously may not seem as exciting for the child. For instance, if the mother celebrates the child's birthday on the actual birth day and then the father celebrates it the following day, some of the excitement will have diminished. However, for a half birthday, the child has had a full six months to recover from their original birthday party and is ready for the next one!
