Like many people, you are probably reading this because you are tired of your current job. In fact, you may even be AT your current job. Don't worry, I won't say anything to your boss. It is not as simple as paying a fee, flipping a switch, and watching your bank account grow (although some methods are nearly this easy).
Depending on the method you choose, whether it is affiliate marketing, article marketing, e-book sales, or something else, the start-up period can take a couple of weeks or a few months, and the cost can be between nearly nothing and a few hundred dollars. However, the most important lesson that all of these systems have in common (and that they often forget to emphasize) is this: IT IS OK TO MAKE MONEY WHILE NOT WORKING.
Sorry for shouting, but I think this is an important point to make. So many people are convinced that the only way to live is to exchange their time for money. This is why making money while online is such a beautiful idea, it reaches people all over the world, all day every day. That means you can provide value to people while you a eating, while playing video games, and even while you are sleeping. Personal development guru Steve Pavlina said it perfectly: "Don't your plants grow even when you aren't tending to them? Why not your bank account?".
By now, you are probably wondering one of two things. First, "Why doesn't everyone do this?" This is a two part answer that has already been pointed out. It takes some time and effort to get started (otherwise everyone WOULD do this), and most people don't realize the simple truth that I shouted about earlier.
The other question is "How do I get started?", and the answer shouldn't surprise you: Do some homework, and don't be afraid to try stuff out. There are many books on this topic which you can browse freely at a bookstore, and there are some legitimate systems that can simplify the process to a few basic steps. Some of these systems pay for themselves within a couple weeks of using them, and some will even give you all of your money back if they don't work for you. Try out some systems, learn as you go, and don't forget that this stuff can and will actually work if you give it a shot.
