Brooks And Dunn Tickets - Riding The Last Rodeo With Country Favorites
The infamous country duo Brooks and Dunn has been putting the final touches on their
farewell tour this year, managing to even make an appearance at Nashville's CMT Awards in early June, where Kix Brooks picked up Duo of the Year for the group's "Indian Summer." "We were not expecting this," the cowboy said, clad in a large black Stetson. "I told you you should be here," he added to the absent Dunn, who was in Santa Fe, N.M. "If you think I'm bringing you this award, Ronnie, you're crazy!"The win was marked with nothing but courtesy, as the group called it quits following the Last Rodeo Farewell Tour, making Brooks and Dunn tickets online a unique find.
"It's been an awesome run," said Brooks following his win in Nashville June 9th, "but right now we're writing songs and recording stuff [alone]. Now we're getting to do what we want this week, when for the past 20 years we've always had to check with each other to see what we were doing and if it worked for Brooks and Dunn." Though the duo's classic rhythms will surely be missed in the country world, their presence is not to be forgotten. Brooks and Dunn classics like "Boot Scootin' Boogie," "My Maria," "Red Dirt Road" and others will remain radio staples while their voices will accent country music with new solo albums.
Together since 1988, Brooks and Dunn instantly became an iconic duo thanks to their contemporary fusion of traditional and pop country music. With fans in every genre, it seemed only fitting that as the duo takes their final bow this year they would mark their history in a tribute concert, complete with a charity in mind. That came about in late May when the ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn the Last Rodeo raised over $1 million for Tennessee flood relief and featured the most recognized names in country music today. Though the duo took a seat on stage, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Lady Antebellum and many, many more all sang some of the outfit's most iconic hits.
As the Last Rodeo Tour closes out this year, Brooks reassures fans that the music they've loved for the past 20 years isn't going anywhere. "What either one of us do in the future won't be a huge departure from what we've done in the past, that's the kind of music we make," he said backstage at the CMT Awards. Though they don't want to define this latest avenue as "retirement," Brooks also admits that a future collaboration between the two won't be counted out. "We may not tour but it wouldn't be out of the realm for us to write together and maybe do a project together again," he adds.
Though the two have often described their musical aspirations as totally different, their infectious stage presence and catchy licks have helped maintain them as one of the hottest acts in country music. For many fans there is no doubt Brooks and Dunn will be make it back on stage together someday, singing classics everyone knows the lyrics to.
