His hit against the New England Patriots halloween night is a metaphor for his last few years. His body and play is scary at best. His personal accomplishments will stand in the hall of fame but his judgments presently are cloudy. We realize it gets harder to say good by to football but his good days are gone and his run is over. It's getting harder to witness this true champion week to week. Just watching him move around in the pocket makes you want to cringe. When he went down the look in his eyes was of someone scared to death. This is the year of the hits and this one was not that intense. He looked like a deer in the headlights. If his family can't persuade him to retire maybe their should be an intervention in the general manager's office. He is a ticket seller but is that what the Vikings want? Or does he like to be a circus clown? He just does'nt have it anymore. His ankle is practically glued together, his elbow is hanging by a thread, his shoulders are bone on bone and now his chin? Listen you can have 10 Randy Moss's but when you can't get him the ball wins won't happen. After watching the game on FOX we had a general discussion on Brett's performance. Though at times it did'nt look that bad his accuracy and field presence is just not there. His teammates might be behind him but so were Custer's. Listen no one loves him more then my family but his day's are over give Taveras Jackson a chance. He looked good when he was in I think it's about time for a change and maybe Brett could be a back up. This role would suit him better for the rest of the year.

Wow and they said he would come back and start, watching espn this morning they all said he would start but because of his consecutive starts? I don't believe it, he wants the Vikes to win, but you can't expect to win when you can't move. It's got to be hard to be a member of this team right now. Though your pulling for the old guy, it's really hard watching him go downhill so fast. The funny part is that he does'nt realize it. I'm not sure what he's thinking but his will to win is not there. This is the part when you know it's time to retire. Hell I'd like to be still playing hockey but my 44 year old body won't allow it. Having a will to win and not being able to have your body buy into it is desastrous. People have paid a lot of money to watch this circus this year and if I was a Vikings fan I'd want a refund. Hey have'nt you seen this movie before? He hates summer camp and though last year he played Ok it's a result we were all expecting, the GM is looking at ticket sales he must be? Why would you bring back a circus freak to watch get hammered like this? i wish him well but please step aside Brett my family would like to see a upstart young man try to get the Minnesota Vikings to the super bowl.
