Brambleton Ribbon Run & Walk to Fight Breast Cancer
Brambleton, an award-winning master planned community located in Loudoun county, Virginia is thrilled to once again be the title sponsor of the Ribbon Run/Walk. The 4th Annual Brambleton Ribbon Run/Walk is scheduled for April 9, 2011. All the proceeds from the race will be donated to The Step Sisters www.stepsisters.org, a local, non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to help fight breast cancer. Brambleton is located in Ashburn, VA.
This event is designed to attract runners and walkers from all age groups and backgrounds. Everyone is there collectively to support the united effort to fight breast cancer. Brambleton is expecting more than 1,200 participators. The event begins at 7:30 am with the 10K race, followed by a 5K "Fun Run" for the kids. Live entertainment, a sponsors showcase and exciting finish line will entertain both runners and spectators. About The Step Sisters:
The Step Sisters are a team of women and men in Loudoun County's Brambleton community and beyond that joined together five years ago to take on the challenge of fighting breast cancer. The organization is made up of breast cancer survivors, as well as mothers, sisters, daughters, brothers, sons and fathers who have all been touched by this terrible disease. The team has been among the top 10 fundraising teams in the region for the past five years, raising more than $315,000 for the cause. The Step Sisters are a 501c3 organization.
