Best selling Zibit Robotic Toys - A top Christmas toy of 2010

2010 turned out to be a superb year for the Zibit! Due to the demand for these toys, they became unavailable within weeks in the run up to Xmas and by December they were quite hard to find in the stores, however they could still be obtained by buying a playset that included a Zibit.

So what are Zibits I hear you ask? They are small cool plastic remote control robotic toys (around 2 inches high), that are able to move in a forward direction and revolve 360 degrees. You'll find 12 different Zibit designs to select from and every one has different appearance. Every one of the Zibits have got LED flashing lights and sound effects.

The 12 Zibits are called: Alpha, Clunk, Dex, Dinc, Gek, Go-b, Gunk, Scrapz, Shox, Spex, Sproc and Tank. These great toys are priced really well at around 10, so are excellent for Birthday or Christmas presents.Best selling Zibit Robotic Toys - A top Christmas toy of 2010

Additionally, there are now quite a few playsets available for the Zibits, the most well known being the 'Power Lab Playset', there's also the 'Lightning Ball Battle Arena', 'Zorr Mine Shaft' and 'Z-Crane'.

These robotic toys are excellent for the kids, but the older generation can have great fun with them too. Several Zibits can be used at the same time as they operate on different frequencies, so they are superb for having races with friends and family.

Zibits are operated using 3 LR 44 coin cell batteries (included with the Zibit). A switch at the side of the head is used to turn the Zibits on / off, however they also automatically switch off when they are not used for a amount of time.

Zibits have got three wheels in the base, one of these rotates 360 degrees and controls the route the Zibit Robot travels. These small guys do move rather fast, and take a little while to get used to controlling them properly.

The Zibit Remote Control incorporates a small sized joystick style of controller which may just be shifted up and down, up moves the robot forward, while down makes the robot turn around. The sound effects emanate from the remote control as the joystick is pressed to operate the robot. The Zibit remote control uses 2 AAA batteries (that are not included).

We've been having fun with the Zibits frequently for a couple of months now, without having to change the batteries, and we have had been told that they will last for quite some time.

Every Zibit pack comprises a Zibit Robot, the Remote Control and Instruction sheet.
