As a holiday junkie, I truly can't wait for summer to come
. Every summer, my family and I take a holiday together. You dont have to break open the piggy bank or travel 6000km to experience a great holiday. Not when Australia can offer you so many beautiful beaches, wildlife parks and world heritage sites that are great for the whole family!Victoria
Lets kick things off with a view of Victoria and the many cultural and natural wonders it has to offer. Great Ocean Road is a very popular tourist destination. The usual highlights like 12 Apostles, Bells Beach or the surf town, Torquay doesnt fail to impress. You can also choose to get active at various national parks that are located around that area such as the Great Otway National Park in Lorne.
Head down to Mornington Peninsula for an afternoon of berry picking and wine tasting, and kick back and relax after a day of activities at the Mornington Peninsula Hot Springs! If you love marine wildlife, Port Philip Bay is the perfect place where you can get the opportunity to swim with dolphins and seals, or catch a glimpse of penguins on Phillip Island.
Also, dont forget to visit the scenic hills of the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges, and indulge in the great pleasures of wine and food. If your kids have been hounding you about taking them to the zoo, why dont you take them for a serene walk at the Healesville Sanctuary and say hello to native Australian animals like koalas, platypuses, and kangaroos.
You must also visit Melbourne City and experience the many cultural establishments of this delightful city. Make sure you take some time to discover the amazing French inspired laneway cafes, sophisticated wine bars, chic boutiques, and take photos of the unmistakable Melbourne street art.

The Sunshine State, as its name suggests, has a variety of bright and cheerful holiday destinations for you to check out. There is a balanced combination of city life and wildlife adventure that has something for everyone!
My husband and I recently got to sneak away to Cairns without the kids to enjoy the sandy beaches at Airlie Beach whilst taking in the views of stunning mountains to the south. The Great Barrier Reef is filled with a spectrum of mind-bending marine life, and it is also home to the worlds largest collection of coral islands with 900 individual reefs stretched out across 350,000 square kilometres. You will regret not experiencing one the most stunning natural wonders of the world.
Bring your kids to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. They will get a chance to hold koalas and take photographs with kangaroos. Don't forget to also take the Story Bridge Adventure Climb and take in the marvellous view of the Brisbane skyline.
Of course, theres also Surfer's Paradise in Gold Coast where you can truly experience a laid back beachcombers lifestyle during the day. At night, shake your hair loose and have a few drinks at the local haunts in Broadbeach.
Most importantly, dont forget to bring your kids to the popular theme parks including Sea World, Dream World, Warner Bros. Movie World, and Wet n Wild Water World which are usually brimming with people of all ages.
New South Wales
Home to the world famous Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour, Bondi Beach and Manly Beach, Sydney is truly a global metropolis with magnificent highlights. Sydney is known for its spectacular New Years celebration that can rival the likes of New York and London. Even during other times of the year, Sydney would be a great place for someone who's looking for the absolute party. Kick back with the locals and have a drink at Sydney's famous bars and clubs.
On top of that, women, do not forget to schedule in some shopping! Sydney is known as one of Australia's fashion capital. All the brands that you have been dreaming about can be found there. If its not your cup of tea, there are still many opportunities for bargains and vintage styles through their markets and shops.
Alternatively, the scenic landscapes and wildlife of the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains region would be perfect for a nature lover, and don't forget to take a scenic walking tour through the untamed bushland of the Blue Mountains National Park.
If you are keen on surfing, you should head down to Byron Bay as there are many highly popular surfing beaches around the area. You can also choose to do a ton of fun sports activities like hang gliding, sea kayaking, horse riding, and skydiving.
