Bearizona Wildlife Park by the Grand Canyon by:Mike Finney

While you visit the Grand Canyon in Northern Arizona

, you can drive your car safely through a wildlife park and see lots of species of animals with your family. Bearizona is a drive through Wildlife Park at the gateway to the Grand Canyon National Park, Williams, Arizona. All of the animals are in a natural habitat including black bears, bison, dall sheep, big horn sheep, mountain goat, gray wolf, and the arctic wolf.

Bearizona's two mile drive-through exhibit will open in May of 2010 to the public. Then an educational center and neonatal viewing area will be created in the summer of 2010. Visitors should allow 1-2 hours to drive through the wildlife park. Admission to the park is discounted for 2010, and prices will go up for 2011. Bearizona is open seven days a week from 8:00 AM to two hours before sunset to allow people who get there at the end of the day time to see the park.

All of Bearizona's animals are captive born and raised by humans so they are socialized to people. Bearizona may be a sanctuary for orphaned wild born animals or confiscated wild life in the future. The health and safety of Bearizona's staff and animals will be considered before taking in other animals.

There are park rules to keep everyone safe. Visitors must stay in their car at all times with windows, doors, and sunroofs securely closed. Guests may not feed the animals for their own safety and the safety of the animals. If there is car trouble people will be assisted if they honk their horn and flash their lights.
