Australian Extreme Adventures

For Australian tourist visa holders, making the most out of their trip to the country is definitely a must

. And one of the things that will certainly be considered as the most on this one is trying out at least one adrenaline rushing activity. And luckily, the country has plenty of these to offer for all levels of extreme junkies.

For the more laid back Australian ETA visa holder, a hike will be the right one for you. Most of the major cities in the country have natural parks near them, so you will able to trek and explore to your heart's content. And if you want something a bit of a challenge, you can also try taking on the various long distance trails that cross the country's vast expanse. The Bibbulmun and Munda Biddi trails are, by far, the most popular of these.

And if you want something that is a bit more than the usual trekking, then you should try rogaining. Rogaining is, interestingly, an invention of Australian university mountaineeering clubs. In the sport, you and a team of four other people will race against time to get to as many checkpoints as you can during the given (think of it as like the Amazing Race, only with with less fuss). Rogaining events are held monthly in each state, with championships being held yearly. The championships and major events often last for 24 hours, with some being as long as 50.

If you are looking for more speed, then you can head to the various motorsports venues in the country. Due to the fact that Australia has one large desert, this makes it ideal for rally car racing. There are plenty of events organized yearly for both spectators and participants. And there are several courses offering runs for casual rally drivers. The tracks at Melbourne are some of the most popular in the country. Here, amateur drivers will be given a whole day course on rally racing, culminating in final fast paced run. And you will receive a certificate indicating that you have indeed completed the course , some you can brag to your friends back home. Australian Extreme Adventures

For two wheel enthusiasts, Phillips Island, off the coast Victoria, is the right one for you. The island is the home of the Phillip Island Grand Prix track, where a leg of the World Superbike Championships is held annually. Here, bike enthusiasts and amateur riders will have the chance to test their skills on track.

And lastly, for something that is totally heart pounding, you can also take to the skies as an aerobatic pilot. Archerfield base in Brisbane hosts many fying tours which will take you on the backseat of a top performance plane. One thing that you would definitely not want to miss here is the simulated dogfight where you get to duke it out with some of the best pilots in the country.
