An Invitation to your Child's Table Set

An Invitation to your Child's Table Set

What does it say to your child when they receive their own table and chairs set from you

? Too often, we don't contemplate what our actions are actually saying, and sadly, what lack of action also communicates. Wouldn't it be great to actually become proactive in creating wonderful memories on purpose? A gift of a special table and chairs set is an invitation. It can say many things like: "Here is a place that you can call your own." "Having a space of your very own is important." "Come to the table to explore learning more about yourself." "Let's read at your table." "Let's paint and draw at the table." "Let's have tea and talk." You catch my drift, right? Children love other children, little people their size. It reminds me of a song, "When trees were tall and I was small". Your child will enjoy have a children's table and chairs set that is their size, one that is comfortable for them.

Does your child love animals, ballet, color, sports, pirates, cars, planes, or trains? Themed playroom furniture can reflect your child's own personality. It can say to them that you value them and their specific interests. You don't need to be just like us. We want to enjoy you for who you are, not what we want you to be.

An Invitation: Art at your child's table. Did you know that even scribbling is valuable and is to be encouraged? It is actually compared to crawling before walking. Each phase is the ground work for the next developmental stage. That doesn't mean to stop as an adult either. You can learn from your doodles. Allow the scribbling phase without trying to "make" your children do something "descriptive". Provide your children with many tools and papers to express themselves. Start a collection of their very own playroom furniture and creative playthings. A table and chair set is a great beginning for the collection.

An Invitation: Let's have tea. What was the best part of your day? Tell me what made you really happy today. Tell me if anything made you sad today. Engaging in a conversation over tea at your child's small table can be very enlightening. Tell me about your art work. What color do you like best, and remember to share your favorite color. Our children's painted furniture will bring much joy to them as they explore, learn, and create.
