Alopecia areata is a disease which causes the loss of hair on scalp of head,only 1 % of the people will be effected by this disease, it is not caused to everybody. it is mostly cause on the head like patch where the hair is gone and we can see the scalp on the head. it is caused mostly to the childrens and not to the elders. there is a problem in this disease that firstly it is very small patch upto 1 inch or less, than if it is not cured than it grows day by day and it could cover the entire head also and you can see only scalp but not hair.
When a person has a surgery and after surgery if it does not take good care of him like not eating healthy foods, energy diet foods, which has vitamins than after some time he could result in alopecia areatal. it is caused due to health problems also , if the health is not good, or a big surgery is done than it could result in alopecia areata.
The treatment for alopecia areata disease is the person is given steroid injections which do not effect the person as they are used in very low quantity and are given in scalp where the hair is gone in every 4 to 6 weeks and it takes a large time to recover the hair.
If the disease is gone than we stop it but if the disease is not than we have a popular treatment for this disease which is used world widely ie; anthralin treatment and contact hypersensitization. these are the treatment which take years but could cure the disease.
